Jeff Klein, Board Vice-Chair, Program Director

Jeff Klein grew up in rural northwestern Pennsylvania. The most formative years of his life were during his undergrad years at Allegheny College, when his involvement in the Newman Catholic campus ministry helped to deepen his faith, and when he first felt the tug to leadership in the Church.

In the years since, he has sought out ways to walk with others on their faith journey, leading Jeff to a brief time as a parish youth minister, a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Duquesne University, and more than 16 years in the field of college campus ministry, including stints at Villanova University and the Newman Center for the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeff met Peak founder Heather Makowicz through St. Norbert Parish in Paoli, and when Heather invited him to be part of Peak’s leadership, he was honored to have another opportunity to continue his personal mission to help people see God’s hand at work in their lives. Jeff is currently a stay-at-home dad living in Delaware County, PA, with his wife and three children.

At AbbeyFest 2019, the Good Shepherd called Mary to Peak Encounter Ministries. Mary saw how spending time in nature has brought awe, peace', and revitalization to her family. She is excited to be part of a mission that helps others to experience God in the outdoors. As Administrator, Mary oversees and organizes documentation, such as the Peak Leadership Manual, and database management.
